About Welcome Hotel

Welcome Hotel is located by highway E18, just 18 km from the centre of Stockholm and 25 km from Arlanda airport. Outside the entrance is a large, free carpark, and Barkarby train station is right next door, with direct services to Stockholm Central Station.

When it opened in 1985, Welcome Hotel was Sweden’s first economy-class hotel. In 2003 it received official accreditation from SHR for 3 stars.

After a major renovation in 2000 it now has 158 rooms, 9 conference rooms, group rooms, a restaurant, gym and two separate houses for long-term accommodation.

The hotel and adjacent restaurant Lasse Maja Inn, with the Courthouse, are owned and operated by Claes and Catharina Roos. The Group also includes Riddersviks Gård in Hässelby, with a history going back to the 18th century.
